Elverhol Museum of History & Art

The Elverhøj Museum is the former residence of one of Solvang’s most artistic families, and is now a community museum devoted to the history of Solvang, the Danish-American pioneer spirit, the colorful heritage of Denmark, and the arts.

Hans Christian Anderson Museum

The Hans Christian Andersen Museum is operated by the Ugly Duckling Foundation, a non-profit organization established to foster public understanding and enjoyment of Hans Christian Andersen and his work.

Solvang Vintage Motorcycle Museum

The collection is quite broad with something for everyone, ranging from a 1910 FN to the present, and across all makes. The emphasis is tilted toward racing motorcycles. At the museum you’ll find names such as AJS, BMW, Ducati, Gilera, Matchless, Moto Guzzi, MV, Norton, Triumph, Velocette, and Vincent. And it’s only half a block from the host hotel!

Wilding Museum of Art & Nature

The Wildling has a small, diverse, and growing permanent collection of art. Nature photography is strongly represented and includes area artists Jeff Jones, Richard Salas, Ines Roberts, Tom Millea, and Roger Craton. We also have several oil paintings by historic painter John Fery, an Austrian who emigrated to America in the 1860s and painted scenes small and grand of the American Western landscape. Other historic artists that are represented in the collection include Russell Chatham, Ray Strong, Lockwood de Forest, and Everett Ruess.

Mendenhall Museum (Buellton)

The Mendenhall Museum has one of the west coast’s largest petroliana collections including gasoline pumps, globes, and porcelain gas, oil, & road signs. There are also race cars, racing memorabilia, license plates, gas & oil items, and other miscellaneous antiques. This collection was started over fifty years ago by the late Jack Mendenhall.

Santa Ynez Valley Historical Society Museum and Carriage House

Dedicated to the rich history of the Santa Ynez Valley. The museum is composed of exhibit spaces that include the Native American Room, the Museum Gift Shop, the Pioneer Room, the Jeannette Lyons Costume Room, the Valley Room and the Ellen Gleason Library that houses the museum book and archive collection.

Quick Silver Miniature Horse Ranch

A breeding ranch for miniature horses. Many people are discovering the joy of owning a miniature horse as a pet. Careful, they will follow you around and steal your heart!

Ostrich Land

The highlight of a visit to OstrichLand is feeding the ostriches and emus. These big birds are a rare and unique sight in this part of the world and are sure to make you smile. They provide a way for you to be up close and personal with these big birds and safe at the same time. The backdrop of the landscape on which they roam is quite lovely and seeing them walking about on the plain that resembles their native desert is like being in another place and time.

Pacific Breeze Alpacas

In 1998, Hayley Jessup of Alpacas de Calzada acquired her first two alpacas and it was love at first sight. Alpacas de Calzada at West Ranch is a boarding facility committed to the top care of the alpacas both visiting and in residence. Hayley brings her background in sales and marketing with her desire to educate all potential and current owners about the wonders of the alpaca lifestyle to Alpacas at West Ranch.

Chumash Indian Casino

Newly expanded casino and resort owned by the original residents of the Santa Ynez Valley, the Chumash tribe of Native Americans. A little Las Vegas a short drive from the hotel. A shuttle runs all day from hotel to casino. The tribe also has a small gift for you upon your arrival at the hotel.
